You really should use a warm mist humidifier. I worked with machines that required humidity and all the customers that opted for the cheaper cool mist humidifiers had white dust issues. Which created their own problems. Warm mist is really steam which is cleaner and more efficient.

Isn’t the white powder a biproduct of all ultrasonic humidifiers?

White powder is probably minerals in the water. Use distilled water to avoid this.

Or r/o water or 0 water works best as well. No white dust at all cause there are 0 mineral deposits
