VANKYO Performance V600 Native 1080P LED Projector

VANKYO Performance V600 Native 1080P LED Projector

Nobody in the AV industry uses Lux to compare brightness. Any seller that won’t tell you the Lumens is hiding something.

From the Walmart product listing:
" * +80% BRIGHTER THAN OTHERS: Featuring 200ANSI Lumen of brightness, V600 projector provides a display up to 300" in size, great performance even in well-lit spaces, ideal contrast for business presentations.0"

Why can’t these manufacturers produce an inexpensive, full feature projector like this one with a ZOOM function???

I took the time to turn a home addition into a media and entertainment center. I mounted an automated 10 foot screen and mounted the projector on the ceiling. I bought an expensive 720p projector (back in 2005). The expensive bulb died after less than 800 hours.

The features and specs on LED projectors are exceptional and they are cheap. Less than the cost of the replacement bulb for my 15 year old 720p projector.

BUT???
WHY CAN’T THEY INCLUDE A ZOOM FEATURE

The ability to move this projector around is wonderful. 300" is awesome. BUT… I spent all this cash and time to build a theater and entertainment center. WITHOUT A ZOOM FUNCTION I CAN’T MOUNT THE PROJECTOR (the ceiling fan is in the same area that the projector needs to be mounted). Instead, I have to move it around at a lower height and shadows of people can block the picture.

Am I missing something? Are there quality projectors in this price range with a ZOOM feature? The ZOOM feature is the only thing that separates these low cost LED projectors from the $800-$3500 theater projectors. AND… the LED projectors have a better picture in most cases and 10 to 20 times the bulb life.
