I have one and these are very nice fans… errr air circulators. Powerful for their size and relatively quiet plus really easy to clean. Don’t plan on pointing this directly at you though.

Protip:
These fans have a very narrow, powerful “beam” of air. They are meant to be placed on a floor and pointed towards a ceiling or wall to cause the entire room’s air to circulate. This is MUCH nicer feeling than having a fan blast your face. The entire room is cooler/fresher.
I have two of these model running 24/7 in my living room circulating air throughout the apartment. This evens out the temperature so no area is too warm or too cold. Without a fan like this equalizing the temperature in your living area your central air is wasting energy heating or cooling a small section of a room.
Warning: At level 3 (highest) these are pretty loud.
I have 9 (3 of these model) Vornado fans. I don’t own anything else. Once you go Vornado you don’t go back to the trash you had before.
With a hundred Woots combined my purchase of the Vornado fans are still my favorite. This is a quality product I fully endorse.

Ill agree with those above, this is a nice fan, iv used it none stop since I got it a few months back and no problems yet. I usually keep it on low, but as to the noise, I need to turn up my speakers a bit since it sits just a few feet from the speakers. I have a rather smaller room where its kept and with the speakers, pc, and lcdtv, the room temp tends to be rather high, but this helps circulate the air nicely and provide a noticable difference.

It is LOUD.
I got this to replace a cheap Honeywell I have that I thought was too loud, and this is even louder.

It will provide pretty much the same feeling as a standard fan if you do that, but usually the reason to drop the extra money on these types is because of the air circulation it can provide
Ordered two of these last time they were on Woot. Also own two of the 542B Clip Fans that Woot sold a while ago. These fans are definitely nice, and are rather quiet as well… However I don’t feel like they live up to the expectation that the smaller clip version leaves you with. Between the two, I definitely think the clip on 540 series is the best. Still a good deal on these though.

Great Product - great value - got two of these last time they were on woot and going to get a couple more now - for their size, these babies really blow - a bit loud on hi but the resulting effects are pretty impressive.
