Warranty Issue with Pixel 7 Pro Purchased from Woot

Hi Woot Forums,

I hope y’all are doing well. I want to start by saying that I don’t intend to come across as rude—I’ve been a Woot customer for years, having purchased many products from them, and have always had great experiences. However, I’m currently facing a significant issue with my Pixel 7 Pro, which I purchased from Woot.

The device has been experiencing major issues, so I reached out to Google’s customer support for assistance. Unfortunately, they informed me that they have no record of my device and that the warranty is not valid. This is extremely concerning as I rely on my phone for work and urgently need a replacement.

What makes this situation even more troubling is that I know this is not an isolated incident. Woot has responded to forum posts in the past where other customers have experienced the same issue, with Google denying the warranty. It feels problematic and misleading, especially since your product listing still advertises a 1-year warranty that Google is not honoring. This raises serious concerns about false advertising, and I hope this can be addressed immediately.

I’ve also tried reaching out to Woot’s support team via phone but have been unable to get through. After waiting on hold for over an hour, the call disconnected without resolution.

Once again, I apologize if my frustration comes through in this message. I’ve always had positive experiences with Woot, but this issue has been incredibly stressful given how much I rely on my phone for work. I’d really appreciate any advice or assistance in resolving this quickly.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from y’all.

Best regards,
Aaron

I passed this on to staff, though it’s after hours.

Can I ask where you found the information that it’s after hours? I had no idea, and knowing this earlier would have saved hours of time.

Woot is based in Texas, meaning that it’s almost 11 PM.

The people who’d be able to help have gone home for the night.

I assumed the support was available 24/7, so that was my oversight. I’ve been in contact with Google Support since 9 PM, and now it’s almost midnight, so it probably wasn’t the best decision on my part. Do you know what time they will be accepting calls tomorrow? Also, thank you for your volunteer work—it has been incredibly helpful.

Oh, Woot has support after hours, but the people who can help the most, aren’t available those same times.

Do you happen to know the best time to call in order to reach someone who can help? If not, no worries—you’ve already been a huge help, and I can’t thank you enough.

It’s better that you email customer service. The phone system sometimes has issues.

Please reach out to Woot! Customer Service. To speed things up, let them know if you prefer a return/refund or a replacement (if possible).

Please allow 24-48h for them to respond.

Browser: Use the Woot! Customer Service form.

Woot! App: Choose Account from the bottom navigation and then Support.

Self-Return: Items without Li-Ion batteries can be self-returned within 30 days. Go to your Order Details to get started. The return label will be emailed from UPS, not Woot.

Note: Woot! Customer Service replies go to the email address on your Woot! account, not your Amazon login email if used/different.

Is it possible to have them respond to a different email than the one listed on my account? The email currently associated with my account is technically my father’s, and I don’t have access to it.

Here’s information on how to update your Woot! email address:

Hi there. CS will be reaching out to you.

Wait, I’m a bit confused. Should I try reaching out, or do you think I should wait? At this point, I’m would just like a refund. I still love woot but with the issues I’ve had I kinda wanna buy from someplace else for a phone.
