Westinghouse Black 2-Slice Wide Toaster with Toaster Box

Save your fingers, mice, keyboards, etc. This is a handy tool for more than just woot. I’m using it right now! Well, not right now, or else it would be hard to write this post, but you get the idea.

I would chip in and buy one to help get rid of them, but I am not allowed to have a toaster in my dorm room due to fire hazard regulations.

Yeah it’s movied from 82% to 77%…huh? Is that possible? I might think of buying one except that they don’t allow these in my dorm either. Stupid fire codes, can’t even have microwaves. Lame.

Question for the Wooter Veterans…is this a typical Woot Off…sell everything left over or returned from the last couple months of Woots!? Just curious…and getting tired, only slept 3 hrs during beyond bread woot

OR, its not sellling.
ROFLCOPTER!

I just remember how to do the about:config thing in firefox, woot loads tons faster now… It barely lags!

I would buy one but it has no wireless connectivity to my breadmaker, coffee machine and blender. It would be one lonely kitchen appliance - imagine the ride from Irvington Texas to my house in the back of a fedex truck. All the other appliances talking to each other and the poor toaster not being able to join in.

In firefox you can download an extension called reload and it will reload anywhere from once evey 5 seconds to once every 15 minutes After you load it you have to right click on the browser select reload Every and select the duration you want

what is the “about:config” thing in firefox??

I did a little math. Over the last 30 min the toaster went from 83% to 77% for a 6% decrease. That means its going down at 12% an hour. From now to sold should take 6.42 hrs at this rate, meaning that it wouldn’t sell out until about 1:10am tonight (tomorrow morning). Thats a bummer.

This feature is also built into Opera.

anyone have the link to the auto-refreshing woot off monitor that some guy made during the last wootoff?

dang. what a bummer. i was watching the entire time i was at work, praying for a big hard drive. where was i when one came up? at lunch.

not that it would have mattered, as i found out later when i tried for the portable dvd player AND the gyration mouse, A) an item is not reserved for you until after you have entered your billing information, and B) just because you JUST ENTERED YOUR GDMFPOS BILLING INFORMATION, does not mean that it has been saved. So I had to go to my account page and enter it. Is that on the FAQ? If not, it damn well should be. If it is, oops… missed it.

Anywho, looks like this will be the killer. No more sitting in front of the computer watching the wootoff.

Woots homepage will load faster.

To get started, type “about:config” in your FireFox address bar.
The settings you’re looking for are:

1.) network.http.pipelining
2.) network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
3.) network.http.proxy.pipelining

Set #1 and #3 to “true”. Set #2 to a high number, like 32.

This works in 1.5 back to .9

this isn’t my site but i got it off the forum earlier today. refreshes every 60s or so.

I think this is a mirror of it : http://therebelcountry.net/woot/woot.php

download the konfabulator at

then download the woot widget that has a woot-off timer that refreshes every 30-90 seconds.

I know that this’ll probably be removed, but if you are interested in an interesting game of postal penguin, check this link out. its a free game and it’ll help pass the TTW (time till woot).

Enjoy

Does anyone know the dimensions of this thing? I’m concerned that a lof of bread won’t fit in there!

If you’re running Mozilla Firefox, download the extension “ReloadEvery”. Once installed, open a tab for “http://www.outsideofdreams.com/woot_checker.php”. Then right click on the Woot page and set it to reload every 30 seconds or whatever. The tabbed site will show you the % remaining as well.
