Very impressive, but then so is the rest of your garden. Well done!
Oops sorry missed this while out of town.
Yes… The bucket. But my boys also sincerely enjoy peeing in the yard. Then there’s also the dog. I’ve got lots of fertilizer.
Also, obligatory pics from my yard:
Across the street from my house/my view.
Corn was knee high (18" ish) at the 4th of July. That is my arm/hand stretched out and I am 6’3" - I am estimating the corn is about 7 1/2ft high.
Corn! So much of it around here is not the eating kind.
All those pretties have suffered in this intolerable heat. Watering hasn’t mattered. In fact, they may have boiled.
Lesigh.
My weeds are thriving and so are the mosquitoes.
I can tell you what is no longer growing in my back yard…
She is going to the vet to be an indoor kitty. ![]()
Beautiful flower. Take good care of her. ![]()
Lawn cigars
Lawn plugs? For fertilization and seeding?
I guess you could call it natural fertilizer.
You should really tell those kids to get off your lawn.

Harvest of green & purple beans from garden. Perhaps the last or 2nd to last of Summer season.
In-between tomato harvesting and waiting on the Winter squash. Tomatillo doing well.
What’s the stuff outside the fenced area? (And how do you keep it from getting in?)
Ah. It is overgrown post blooming mint. I put the short fence there hoping squash could climb up it and hold back mint.
Gardening is trial &error.
We have ripped everything out of the garden, finished cleaning out the last two large flower beds, and getting desperate for some rain. The dirt is so powdery (how powdery is it?) We have holes where birds are dusting themselves to bath. Ugh!
