What's your method for making popcorn at home?
I picked “I HATE popcorn!” But really it’s my stomach that hates it.
I did microwave for years until someone suggested the stove, and now that’s my go to. Frankly, it’s almost as fast as the microwave and I get fewer burned kernels. Plus, I can customize the oil I use for extra flavor such as garlic infused EVOO. Yum!
It’s gotta be kettle corn from Shyrock’s corn maze in October or nothing. Sweet and salty.
Childhood memories is the air popper. Filling the bin, hitting the motor, and wait for the popping. When the air popper died, we did prepackaged microwave. So i am guessing the air popper just made ok popcorn. Don’t recall the taste, just sights and sounds.
Now I am hungry for popcorn. Woot, why do you torture me after midnight? Why?
I have a plastic bowl with vented lid that works in the microwave. I won’t use the commercial microwave packages.
Popcorn is towards the bottom of the list for best snacks. There are better options.
microwave, because I have no idea how to make kettle corn in oil or an air popper. Otherwise, I’d prefer oil and /or air popping…
Air popper with lots of melted butter. Yum.
Good ol’ microwave. You just have to listen to the frequency of pops or else you’ll burn it
Yep, I prefer the choice of quality oil and custom flavours you can do with the stovetop method.
Wish I had a glass lid.
Microwave, but not microwave popcorn bags.
I use a silicone popcorn bowl purchased from Woot. Then I found an easy microwave kettle corn recipe. The flavor is actually somewhere between kettle corn and caramel corn.
The first few times I used off-brand popcorn which tasted fine but left lots of unpopped kernals. Switched to Orville’s - much better results.
Popcorn is one of my favorite snacks! I will eat it made pretty much any way. My son uses the microwave bags for simplicity. I pull out the air popper and yummy seasonings.
