Oh gosh, 8th grade, went and saw a movie. I was just so excited to be asked out. It was so awkward and then he turned out to be super weird

I have dated but have never been on an actual date where someone arrives at my home and takes me someplace.
My first kiss was when I was 4. One of the boys in 3rd grade in my mom’s class (she was a 3, 4 & 5th grade teacher) chased me around the all school picnic until he was able to catch me and plant a big wet kiss on me.

It’s wrong to make such a blanket statement. There are many kinds of dates with different tastes. Even more varieties of figs with a great range of sweetness and flavor.

Somehow I managed to overcome my incredible awkwardness and had several girlfriends in high school (no, not at the same time).
I was a messed up kid then, I’m surprised anybody put up with me.
Must have been my ridiculously good looks. Only explanation.

I was 8 or 9. Romantic candle light steak dinner in the yellow and orange playschool picnic table in my backyard. Tragically, her Father was stationed to Okinawa at the same time mine was stationed in the Azore Islands after the 3rd grade. We had no way to keep in touch without email or smart phones or knowing what our new addresses would be. Haven’t dated a blonde since.
