I recently had to break a $20; now I have quite a few singles.
I don’t that that would go very far where I live.
I rarely have cash. Even the vending machine takes cards.
We have some ok ones but the one closest to the beach is the biggest shithole ever. And family dollar in South Carolina is another story

I like family dollar but they closed ours this summer. Now we have the dollar general and I’ve never seen a bigger hell hole. The parking lot has potholes that could break axles. That’s the nicest thing I can say about it.

I read that all small towns hate dollar general because they move in and the local businesses close and it creates food deserts everywhere. If they’re new then they look pretty nice. They just built one in the mountains where i go and it looks nice

We’ve had one for at least 30 years but it didn’t always have food.
We like it because it gives the local grocery store some healthy competition.
The problem with the DG is its understaffed and dirty. But it’s always busy. It pulles in a million or so a year which is ALOT for a small town.
