There’s no lying. We state both the upscaled max and the native:
Max Resolution: 1920 x 1080 (1080P)
Native Resolution: 854x480 (WVGA)
The MAX output is 854x480 (WVGA) if that’s the native, anything above native just means they are scaling the input (up to 1080p) down to 854x480 your still never getting 1,920x1,080 pixels in the projection.
I’d agree ever mentioning 1080p is a bit misleading here, the only benefit I see is that it would accept a wide range of input devices. Which is nice, but should be specified as accepts Sources up to 1080p with downscaling to native.
This isn’t a problem native to woot, I see the same misleading spec’s all over the place in displays of any type.
