Damn, woot!.. You guys just cant get rid of this crap, huh? lol.

I used this thermometer tonight as I made dinner. It works great! I used it for chicken I was cooking in the oven and set the temperature and off the alarm went when it reached it. My husband also used this for our Thanksgiving turkey in the smoker and he really liked it. I would recommend purchasing it and would get it again if I needed to!

Don’t knock the firewire skewers.
I got mine last week, I love em. This is a good rewoot, and you even get a thermometer! Its a better deal!

Not the Firewire you were looking for…

My father was cooking dinner earlier and he was saying he wanted a better thermometer he could use in the oven for Christmas. Completely crazy that sellout has the item that he is looking for, and with added features to boot!

Totally buying it.

Just in case you failed to see the video of me doing a product test and demo of the Firewire skewers, you can see it on YouTube.

I’ve used the Firewire for tailgating because they make it easy to transport skewers to the game without popping a hole in your ziplock bag. I like them as you can tell in the video.

To make life easy, here’s the Firewire website. With spiffy video included!

Thanks for those convenient links. Was wondering if it was a good deal. You and the poster who said he bought the skewers and loved them made my mind up for me.

Glad it helped. I find the previous wooting comments to be the most useful information available. Especially when wooters are kind enough to come back and post comments once they’ve received their item.

(Hint hint - Post some reviews everyone!)

Don’t know anything about the skewers. They probably suck. The Thermometer is great though. I use it for smoking chickens and cooking larger pieces of meat in the over. Comes out perfectly cooked.

Curious how you prevent your cooked meat from being contaminated by the raw-juice end you slid everything onto?

uh bleach? disinfecting soap?

Got both of these seperately from woot and love them. The cooking themometer works great both in the outside grill and the inside oven. Only wish the receiver had a temperature display. The Firewires work great also especially for marinateing everything together. Great deal!!!

Ok, why do I need flexible skewers? And what’s to keep them from flopping over and letting the food fall off?

I used mine today for the first time on a chicken. The alarm went off after 15 minutes and the thermostat said that the chicken was at 170 degrees which it was not. It was still raw. I am going to try again before I call customer service. Maybe the probe went through the chicken and accidentally touched the botton of the broiler and caused the false alarm. I dunno. The timer/alarm and the remote/alarm/pager work fine.

Oh, no! Look out for that huge muscle-bound zombie. He’s really hard to put down.
