I had one of these abs lived out until it just decided to stop turning on one day. Have no idea what was wrong with it and it was out of warranty, so i was out of luck.
These specific tablets shouldn’t be sold, they should go straight to a recycling center.
Updates have somehow made the 2019 10" Fire tablets completely useless. Factory resetting doesn’t help, limiting it to one profile doesn’t help. Even from the home screen, touching an app icon causes a 10-15 second delay before the app responds. In-app isn’t much better–even in their own Silk web browser the keyboard stalls and pages are incredibly sluggish.
It isn’t just the age, either. My son had one of these that was no longer capable of running Minecraft, but his Fire 8 2018 would still play it. I have a Fire 8 2017 that is much faster and more responsive than the 2019 10", an even older Fire HDX 8.9 that is limited only by a nearly-dead battery, and two of our family’s Fire 8 2020 tablets are still working perfectly.
There is something specific about the 10" 2019 Fire tablet that has simply failed between its hardware components and OS updates. I’d suggest anyone looking for an inexpensive Fire tablet grab a different size or different year’s model–older or newer.
Bought one of these last time they were on woot. Only been using it a couple months but so far have had no issues. Just has kids settings and plays games and books.
We also have a 2020 8 inch and it works fine as well. As said we have only had the 10 for a couple months so time will tell but so far so good.
I use these for kids tablets. So far, after a year, they are working for what I am using them for.
My kid(s) play Minecraft and Roblox on it just fine.
Great price but I’m no longer buying anything not USC-C it’s too much of a pain to deal with microUSB. If that doesn’t bother you, it’s not a bad deal for usable tablets.

I got the 2020 version I think. It has been sluggish all of a sudden. It may be because my 14 year old son dropped it. I also only use Firefox and have Google Store on it. Who knows though. It was cheap.
I really love the 8 versions though. Cheap and a very light reading and browsing device.
No moving parts contained within.
