I need to know the width of the feet on the tv to know if it will sit on my mantle. Thank you to anyone with helpful answers. It’s for the 55” tv screen size.
Used it says, what does that mean?
In Amazon Warehouse speak, it usually means a new TV that was removed from the box, tried out, then returned in the original, albeit damaged, box.
Sometimes there are cosmetic imperfections on the TV, sometimes not.
People might also take a look at the Hisense 58U6H currently on Amazon for $349.
It also uses the Fire TV OS.
If this is the same as TCL’s spacing (TCL is rumored to be the one making these), the legs are 47.5" apart on a 55" tv. I also just measured the feet off my TCL 55", and they are ~12" wide.
The spec’s I found on Amazon say the legs are 39.6" apart.
Was wondering who was making these for them. The feet and the overall style look a lot like an LG that I have but the feet are further pushed to the edges on mine.
If it ends up too wide, just buy a plank of wood / bare shelf to extend the width of the mantle.
Be aware this is not the current Amazon Omni QLED TV which has better(not great) reviews than this previous model. Expert reviews were not impressed by the Omni or its price. Now that it is priced appropriately it may be worth the gamble but don’t expect Samsung, LG or Sony picture quality.
I purchased a “used” 50" from Amazon Warehouse for same price as this offer and received a brand new TV in factory sealed retail box. Everything inside was undisturbed and in perfect condition. TV works fine but picture quality is about the same as my equally inexpensive RCA TV. Recommended (for price) if you are a fan of Alexa.
After owning a Fire TV for the last couple of years mine has become a brick. The Fire TV updates are too large for the internal storage. Critically low storage space warnings constantly pop up during use, asking to remove apps and clear cache. Removing all the apps that I can did not help. A factory reset did not help either. My advice is to buy a normal TV and a Fire Stick that can be easily upgraded.
I agree with that , to buy a “normal” tv. but… they are getting harder to find, and if you want an Oled , forget it , or any other high end screen. They just are not available any more…
this is an interesting article on what is left and what the “future” of the non-smart is.
btw, I still use my Plasma’s with Fire Cube and Sceptre non-smart LCD’s 4K for spare rooms, garage, ect, only because the 55" Sceptre TV’s were a whopping $100 brand new on Cyber Monday 3 years in a row, and the price was right.
When I get a new TV I connect it to ethernet to update the FW then unplug it.
That sound like a good solution…
The quick and dirty answer is to not use any of the smart tv features. I wish there was a way to disable those features entirely.

What kind of remote is provided? We mostly watch over the air (OTA) tv with our outdoor antenna. I’d prefer a remote with number buttons on it to be able to go directly to the channel I want.
