Got these yesterday. I am 99.8% sure they’re counterfeit. The plug has black rings instead of white, the cord is super thin, and the sound is downright terrible. Max volume is about 20% of the max volume on my genuine, purchased-from-Apple EarPods, touching the plug area in any way while they’re plugged in results in terrible static, and the sound is like a tin can.
If it has just been one pair, I would have assumed they were defective, but I bought 3 and all of them are exactly the same.
Woot did refund my money though, so I got that going for me.
