John Carpenter’s The Thing
SAW
I picked Halloween, but let’s not forget the horror film that started it all, the German classic Nosfaratu. No sexy, glittery, bad boy vamps here, only pure evil, both physically and spiritually.
And it’s great when you can see it in a theater that has a pipe organ.
When I was a small child my parents took the family to the drive-in to see The Ghost and Mr Chicken. I still watch that movie whenever I get a chance to. lol. What’s not to love about Don Knox
The Exorcist!
Nasfuratu
The Strangers. If you haven’t seen it, STILL DON’T SEE IT. Just thinking about it made me turn around to make sure I was alone in my office.
Texas Chainsaw is the only one that is actually spooky. The others are comical, whereas a creepy deranged family in the middle nowhere is more believable.
Psycho…or how about The Birds? Then there’s Cape Fear…
poltergeist ruined my sleep for days as a kid. i was far too young to have watched it when i first did lol
THE THING!!!
Carrie - still scarred by that one after all these years.
Hellraiser was my choice as well
The little mermaid. The sea witch was terrifying
I saw The Birds when I was in grade school. I haven’t been able to watch a “real” horror movie since then.
“The Stepford Wives” 1975
“What Good Old Days?”…“Like those Good Old Days when “Playboy” used the airbrush.”
Manos, the Hands of Fate
