Had one of these years ago. It was a black and decker that I used in a small shed workshop. As I recall it was pretty good about heating up small areas. Question I have these days that I wasn’t asking 20 years ago is just how energy efficient they are.
Anyone out there who can tell me?
Is this product approved for small bathrooms?
Does anyone know what the low temp turn on point is for the thermostat? I’d like something about 50 or 55f but most all seem to be 60plus
One watt of electricity costs the same in any heater.
Is is sold out? I can’t seem to add to cart
It’s still available but can only be purchased through the app.
How efficient is it in terms of the amount of heat produced from the one watt?
It has the usual vague settings of other small heaters. It does turn off when it reaches that vague temp though (according to Amazon Q&A).
Electric and wood burning are the most efficient in terms of getting heat. However, for electric heat it depends on the cost of power set by your utility. The thing I’ve noticed with electric space heaters is they’re all limited to 1500/1800 watts because that’s what an outlet with normal 15a plug can take.
I think you’re confusing energy efficient with cost efficient.
The fan on my unit runs at the same speed whether it is set to fan, low, or high. Is this right? I expected a faster fan with the high setting.
I also posted this question on Amazon. I did not find an answer in the Amazon Q&As or the reviews.
That’s not the fan setting.
- MANUAL ADJUSTABLE THERMOSTAT CONTROL – Set it to LOW HEAT (900 Watts) or HIGH HEAT (1500 Watts), or to FAN. Just plug it in with the 6 ft. power cord and get warm!
Thanks, TT!
