Why doesn’t it say pointless price anymore? Let me guess. Someone complained. I weep for your generation.

What do you mean??

Does not include battery for remote. It takes a CR 2025, I think. There’s nothing in the manual about it, as far as I could see, and the numbers are tiny raised black letters on a black background on the back of the remote. I guess you’re supposed to take a rubbing to read it? Battery orientation is also shown as black-on-black on the back, and does not appear to be the same as shown in the manual.

Speaking of the manual, it seems pretty hefty, until you realise it’s in multiple languages. I’m not sure how many, I gave up counting after English, Spanish, and French.

The manual gives incorrect directions for how to activate the thermostat mode.

The correct way to activate it is this: While the unit is on, press and hold the heat (*) button (just under the power button.

A thermometer icon will appear on the screen; then you can adjust the temperature.

The heating is then automatically changed from high to low to off depending on the temperature the sensor measures. (The fan is always on when the unit is powered on.)

When running in thermostat mode, you can check the set temperature by pressing either of the arrow buttons once. The set temperature will be displayed, blinking, for a few seconds before the room temperature is displayed solidly.

I cannot find a way to activate thermostat mode using the remote. Once it’s activated from the heater’s control panel, the remote arrow buttons display and change the set temperature.

I also cannot find any way to change from Fahrenheit to Celsius.

I nearly returned these because the manual instructions (which say to press the arrow buttons) is simply wrong. I discovered this accidentally and thought I’d pass it on to y’all.

Thanks! Passed this on to customer service.

Thank you! I finally opened mine today and couldn’t figure out the settings.
