Blackstone 28" Flat Top 2 Burner Griddle

Blackstone 28" Flat Top 2 Burner Griddle

Under the heading “RESTAURANT STYLE COOKING” it states it has a bottom shelf & two side shelves. I assume the pic is correct (one side shelf) … correct?

Also, under “TRANSPORT WITH EASE” in one sentence it states it has foldable legs and four industrial strength caster wheels yet in the next sentence it says it has two wheels. I assume the pic is correct again (two wheels) … correct?

Suppose one would want to buy some sort of a cover to leave out on the deck all summer? Maybe someone who may own could comment if a cover would be needed?

FYI, Lowes currently has the two side shelf model w/hard cover on sale for $199.

Wish this had a stove top, and allowed us to cook with pots and pans. It looks pretty good otherwise.

This is a HORRIBLE DEAL when compared to the Blackstone 1554 36” Omnivore Griddle that was for sale in February and March for $179.99

I wouldn’t say a horrible deal. More so that the previous deal for 36" at $180 was the better deal. It has 4 burners, an extra 8" space and another side table stand.

I looked it up on Amazon, and they offer a Blackstone cover, as well as a cheaper one.

I got excited when I saw blackstone, hoping this was the 36” one they had a couple times recently. By the time I was ready to order last time (waited until my wife was home from work to talk about it), it was sold out. Hoping that deal comes up again soon, I’m still upset that Sam’s club raised the price of their nice griddle by $100 this year.

Terrible deal, this is going to be the first week in a long time where I don’t buy a single item from Woot. This whole week is like Amazon Prime days where they just want to off load a bunch of junk or chinese crap for bad prices.

I wish I could get into griddle flat top style outdoor grills. Without an open flame it feels like I’m cooking on my kitchen stove.

I mean, that’s the point. It’s not a grill.

You get amazing diner-style food
without smoking out your house.

I like the grill sear marks which is why I prefer Burger King over McDonald’s

I wish this was the electric version! Had a bad experience using propane so I don’t want to risk it.

This seems like a better deal if you’re going to buy a cover for it anyway

Edit: Also 60000 BTU for the Lowe’s model vs 34000 for the one on Woot

The Lowe’s Blackstone is not the same model as the WOOT. The woot is model 1517. The Lowe’s is 2435, but for $50 extra dollars the Lowe’s is worth it.

I see this is sold out.
I hope the recipients love it as much as i do the 36" one from back in January.
If you don’t and you would like grounds for bypassing the orange return block box, listen up.
Frame is NOT stainless steel. The only stainless steel items are the burners. But Zaxrex, you say " Why are the burners rated in Watts? isn’t that unit for electrical power?"
Why, yes - yes it is. And to convert electrical power to heat energy over time (BTU/hr) you need to multiply by 3.41. That gives you 33,900 BTU.
And since this is marketing wank, we’ll just round up to a nice 34,000.
Yes, that’s right, a whole 4000 BTUs less than the 36" griddle with FOUR burners. That’s half as many burners in smaller size than its big brother with only losing 12% !!!
In theory…
The griddle comes with a nominal 1 psig propane regulator and feeds the burners by Nylon reinforced rubber hose with internal diameter of 5 sixteenths of an inch. That’s 0.077 square inches in area.
In order to get enough propane through the pipe for 34000 BTU you need an internal diameter of .622 inches. That’s 0.30 square inches area.
That’s 8 time smaller than what is needed to flow 34,000 BTUs of propane.
And since flow rates are about the square root of pressure, your pressure regulator would need to be replaced by (square root of 8) a 2.8 (call it 3)
PSIG regulator.
I replaced mine with an adjustable 5PSIG unit and it works marvelously.

Does the side shelf fold down for easier storage?

Hello. This is sold out now but I don’t believe so.

Hi! I bought this and got to open it up and start assembling it today and…it’s a mess. No instruction guide, missing parts, damaged/broken part, a part that doesn’t seem to match the size of the grill. The Woot description said it was model 1517 but the box says it is an “omnivore” which is a different model number that has higher specs from what I can tell. I’m really suspicious that this was a scam return or something, cause it just isn’t right. I’ve emailed woot customer service.
