Wait, is this really a 100$ citrus press? It seems a bit overkill to be honest. The 100 Watt motor in itself seems to be a bit overkill. Not only is this orange pressed, its flattened. I just can’t see a reason to get this over something simpler and cheaper.
Troy McClure: Tonight I’m going to tell you about the Juice Loosener.
[Troy grabs an orange and squeezes it against his eye until it bursts. All the juice pours into a glass beneath his face]
Troy McClure: Until now, this was the only way to get juice from an orange.
[cuts to Homer, using the exact same method to get orange juice]
These work REALLY well. And motors on juicers burn out easily, so if you juice a lot of citrus, you want a heavy-duty motor. Trust me. I lived in a house that went through them constantly and only one like this lasted.
I don’t drink juice myself, but I would buy this if I did.
I have an ancient one that looks a lot like this. Only it’s not electric. And since it’s pretty much effortless to squeeze a bazillion oranges… or lemons or whatever… I have to ask. Why on earth is it electric? Sheesh. Are we all getting that lazy?
Dang, this is exactly what I want, but I just–about an hour ago–bought the Black & Decker CJ525, which is reviewed as being the best for the money ($17.99 and qualified for super save shipping on Amazon). This one, though, has got to be the king of the home citrus juicer. Oh well, if my breaks down, I’m sure this will be around in the next wootoff.
Yeah, but fresh juice actually starts loosing some of it’s nutritional content after minutes. With this, you’re sure to get all the bioflavons and other good stuff.
