is the 41" max width including the 4" extensions or will they extend that dimension to 49"?
Hi there. 41" is the max with the extensions.
The gate that is shipped out is different the picture. The gate opening is not one piece like the picture. The gate you receive doesn’t have a continuous bottom bar instead it connects in the middle with 2 screws which is not as strong or stable. Also the latch buttons that were on the side are now a single button on top. Ironically my son can open this one with the button on the top but can’t open it when they are on the side like the picture.

Is everyone getting the wrong product?
Very clearly in the photos the latch is on the side which is great so then my kids can’t mess with the gate. It says kids/children all over the instructions. My daughter will have it open in no time with pups running about.
States no tools required, but there is literally screws that you screw into the wall and an allen wrench for setup because it doesn’t even fold as advertised; it breaks apart and unscrews for storage. If you attached it using the screws well good luck with the holes in your wall. Why is the main gate unit multiple pieces; the cat photo and the others show a sturdy single piece - not one held together with two allen screws you have to put together.
Lastly does one else notice the discrepancies of how wide it actually is? There is no definitive explanation so once again I referenced the photo of the cat and the EXACT measurement it stated for that opening of 10"x7". What is this they sent out?

Yes nothing like the picture my pups about 60lbs and he just plows through it. The arms that extend out do not screw in the just sit and rely on a plasric tensioner. Its 3 pieces. This gate is nothing like the description and was a waste of money unfortunately. I had high hopes and yeah well definitely need some rethinking. Maybe make it so tue tenioners screw in fir more stability add some reinforcement to tue bottom bracket. And if your gonna show it a solid gate make it a solid gate or atleast post it comes in multiple panels
