Yeah, Woot makes up numbers in the description.
They put it on the spoon and hope people don’t notice the crap they are being fed.
Either that or Cesare has dipped into a few bottles from the wine cellar.

I have no idea what you’re talking about. The features, nutritional info, and other details of the product come straight from the vendor.

And what does Cesare have to do with this?

They are pointing out that the photo shows 8 oz jars and the description says 12 oz. Have no idea what the additional animosity is all about.

Some of the folks here get very testy about criticism. That particular Mod came from the hoi polloi and first she was a volunteer mod and then they hired her. She protects Woot and WD like a momma bear. Some of the regular posters here also feel the need to jump on anyone that utters a negative word. It’s very annoying at times.

Woot and Amazon have jumped the shark with this gourmet Woot, I think it’s time to stick a fork in it, it’s done. The wine a day deal was nice, the overpriced, esoteric food a day deal is pretty pitiful. So long Gourmet Woot, and thanks for all the fish.

I live in the deep south. Once I open these they’re likely to stay crunchy for a couple days max. R.I.P.

Actually, I think all of Woot has jumped the shark. Even though I check it every day (out of habit), I miss the days of the screaming monkeys and unique products. Woot seems to have turned into an Amazon sale bin.

If you look at the label, it says there are 42 1/6 oz servings in a jar. That would make a 7 oz jar, not 8 or 12. Woot needs to clarify the size of the product being offered and perhaps the manufacturer has not labeled it correctly.

This gourmet section is terrible, filled with overpriced goods that you might buy on a whim at some country-style store. Otherwise, they’re useless.

I still get the woot email daily, but I’m thinking of canceling it. It’s the same stuff all time.

Can canned chile crunch crunchy condiment cause cancer, consumed conspicuously?

Conceivably consuming canned chile crunch crunch condiment could cause cancer cells ceasing, cured!
Come closer, concentrate, channel circular cells, collapsed cancer cells can’t cause continued cancer, congratulations, chile crunch crunchy condiment can cure cancer!

Yup, definitely some discrepant information between the description and the pictures.

I still come here for the caramels.

Yep, the nutritional information shows only 7 oz. per jar, yet the description suggests these are 12 oz. jars. And the manufacturer’s website currently doesn’t even show 12 oz. jars. Better correct the info if these are not 12 oz. jars, woot.

So, what size are these?

At least they are honest and admit on an 8oz jar there will always be about 1oz in the corners and on the walls you will not be able to scrape out.

Their website shows this only in 8 and 31 ounce jars, and the 31 ounce size doesn’t seem to be for sale. That would make this like 20 bucks a pound/pint.

Regardless of size 10 bucks a jar for something that’s a cross between an infused canola oil and a relish seems steep especially when having to buy 4 of them. There is maybe 50 cents (a dollar if you are really pushing it) of ingredients in a jar. For 40 bucks I could make a lot of batches until I found one that I personally liked.

It’s just a pepper relish, made of chopped-up vegetables. Presumably you’d put it in the fridge once opened, so unless your fridges down there don’t work the same as in the rest of the country, not sure why yours would lose its crunch faster than anyone else’s.
