There is no mention of how this heater is powered. A’C, Batteries, solar or what? OR AM i Just not seeing it?
“this wall-mountable patio heater uses standard household electricity”
Outdoor/Indoor Electric Patio Heater.
Now is not a good time to think about cranking up the heat. Enjoy the A/C for now.
Does anyone see the BTU or watt output for this unit? Might not be the time to use a heater, but definitely the best time to buy a good one at a low price.
500 watts per Woot’s Amazon listing. Here’s the link:
Comfort Zone CZPH15RS3 indoor/outdoor Patio Heater https://a.co/d/6vJalM7
500W is about 1700 BTU. A typical propane patio heater is in the 49,000 BTU range. This will do basically nothing unless you are inside a sealed space.
Those two pictures are two of the worst photo chopped pictures I’ve ever seen well maybe not ever the Kardashians are pretty bad with theirs too! But seriously the second picture is laughable
is this heater energy efficient?
Like all electric heaters, this is 100% energy efficient, as any wasted energy would be being used to generate waste heat. Since producing heat is the entire purpose of a heater, there’s no such thing as waste heat.
Not as efficient as a heat pump which can be about 300% energy efficient since they both generate waste heat as well as move existing heat from one place to another place, but all electric heating element heaters are always 100% energy efficient by definition.

[MOD: similar but not the same brand]
Specs here say 5120 BTU
Picture of the box here is grainy when zoomed in but seems to confirm that claim if you squint really hard.
EDIT: This appears to be a better image of the box that confirms the claim of 5120 BTU
I thought BBB went out of business. I am out of the loop. Again.
I bought an older version last year and liked it. Bought this one in August and my opinion is it’s better. Stand is no different. I liked it well enough to get the one from Bbb/overstock for a little less money as well. It is a different brand and packaging not as nice but virtually the same product. Given the choice again I’d buy this Comfort Zone for $5 more dollars give or take.
I use these on the patio and the newer one projects heat further out, but you need to be within 10’ or so to feel it. The older one I have to use the remote for the 500 & 1000 watt settings. This newer one can be done without the remote.
