Bought two of these on a previous go-round because the price was good. Fairly simple to assemble (maybe 15-30 mins each). No pieces missing on mine, but they’re VERY flimsy. Nothing that I would consider an everyday use item. We’ve kept ours inside as I don’t trust they’ll hold up under extended weather exposure of any sort or length. Oh, and they aren’t even very comfortable to sit in. I doubt that’s part of their QC at the factory. Although, if there was an issue with missing parts, I doubt QC is even part of the process.
Spend more on Amish-made somewhere else, you’ll get your money’s worth. I wouldn’t recommend these and wouldn’t buy them again myself.
LMAO, YA RIGHT, WOOT will respond to your complaint my sass, 3 attempts in the last 2 months and not a single reply…wWOOT has become a total joke and worthless since AMAZON TOOK OVER…Woot has gotten the last dime they will ever get from me…
Hi there. I looked at your CS contacts and I see that they replied the same day on Nov 3 & 7. If you’re not seeing the response, check your spam/junk folders. The response goes to the email address on your Woot account.
If still no luck, you might give them a different email address to use.
All I can say is DO NOT purchase these chairs. I bought 2 back in the summer, and they came scratched up, broken, missing screws, and with several stripped screw holes. I ended up having to purchase screws and using wood glue to put them together. Very poor quality and not worth anything over $5-$10. Seriously…save your money for a better brand/product.
Purchase a few things from woot in the past without complaint. Purchased two of these chairs, blue…One was scratched with screw holes bored out, so I have to go buy bigger screws. Cannot do anything about the ugly scratch…the other chair was fine. Sent email to woot…Woot’s service department was not very helpful. Basically told me they sold it through the vendor. So I also will not buy this product going forward. I am disappointed with woot’s reply, and will strongly consider their customer service before buying this type of item. Discount price, discount service.
Both chairs arrived with cracked parts, loose screws, screws that just spin, mis-drilled holes, chipped paint, and a host of other defects. The paint is so thin the wood shows through in many areas.
The upper supports have six screws, one per board. A single one of them is providing support, between two chairs. That’s one screw of 12 that actually bites into the intended surface. All of the others spin in wrong-sized holes or are too short to reach the warped back support boards. One of them was so loose it was rolling around in the box when we opened it. These are screws installed from the factory, not the ones you’re expected to install.
It’s not worth the effort to return these chairs. Lesson learned. Do not trust this manufacturer.
The paint in the pictures is high gloss. You can see reflections in it. High gloss paint helps keep rain water out of wooden products, is durable, and is easy to clean. The actual paint is incredibly thin matte paint.
The pictures also aren’t full of visible screws. The chairs have visible screw heads all over the place, the holes for which were drilled after painting. This means that in areas where the metal passes through the wood before encountering its target, there’s no paint and no water sealing of any kind. The screw holes are both an aesthetic issue and a durability issue. Rot will start in these areas.
The photos of this product are nothing more nor less than false advertising on the part of the manufacturer. They literally covered up major product deficiencies in their images.
Woot should take the manufacturer to task for this, and should do something to compensate the customers who were ripped off by this “deal.”
I have since contacted customer service and received a partial refund. It’s not Woot’s fault that the vendor supplies deliberately deceptive product images. I’ll do anything I can to help you in your dealings with the vendor. I have photographs of the discrepancies.
