Credit Card Issue

Beware! This woot.com has a spider hiding inside. I was scammed out of my credit card number! I should have seen it but no i fell into the trap. Not sure what to do now! Help!

The credit card info is for your convenience. If you don’t want to add it, just go into the account settings and remove it. There’s no scam. You’re overreacting.

Not so. Ive been an Amazon user for years including Woot. I was satisfied with their products. Over reacting? No! However i hope you are right!

Hi there. We do not have access to your credit card number. All purchases go through Amazon’s widget for payment transactions. If your credit card was used for fraudulent purchases, it happened another way.

Make sure you contact your bank.

Is Jamaica Ska allowed?

@elconquistadora, My apologies. I figured from your statement that you entered your credit card here on the Woot! site. If that is what happened, then you can remove the info. However, if somebody pretended to be from Woot! and asked you for your credit card, then that person definitely scammed you. In that case you definitely also need to take ThunderThighs advice and contact your credit card issuer as soon as possible. You will likely need to have a new credit card issued.

Boy, i guess i didnt explain what happened. When i was in woot site there was a question regarding my credit card. I was asked to verify it I did. Then i realized this was not Woot. But a scammer! Tried to go backwards and erasure my answers. Didnt work. Is this clearer now!

it’s a lot clearer to me now!

others have suggested contacting whatever institution issued your credit card. if you haven’t done so yet, i’ll add my disembodied voice to theirs - close the old card asap and replace with a new number. check purchase history online if possible, and dispute bad charges.

don’t wait.

Yikes. Yes, contact your bank and then run a malware check.
