CyberPower CST1500S 1500VA/900W 10 outlets

@ThunderThighs - FWIW I picked this up a couple weeks ago NEW at Costco for $149.99

The $150 on the product you commented on was a sale price on the “true sine wave” ups, offered by Costco for $180 before the sale. I got one at $150 and considered that a great deal.

The “simulated sine wave” that’s got the same battery capacity is normally priced at $150 on the Costco site, and it’s still at that price. In fact, it seems to be the only UPS offered by Costco now.

I can’t follow your point, sorry. Is the Costco UPS I linked not the same as this one? Or is it?

Costco had this model (true sine wave), but it’s no longer offered on their web page.

Costco now has a model with the same capacity but simulated sine wave, for $149.99.

The true sine wave is a more expensive product, as it works well with all computer power supplies. The simulated sine wave doesn’t work well with some computer power supplies (and possibly other electronics).

We don’t know which one you got from Costco… what’s the product number?

I linked to it in my OP you replied to.

Well, no. The one Wood offered (now sold out) is the true sine wave, the more expensive unit suitable for more general use.
The one you linked to is Costco’s current offering, which is the simulated sine wave. It can cause problems with certain modern computer power supplies.

Simulated < true, just as you’d expect to spend less for a simulated diamond than a true diamond.
