I bought some of these same sheets back in September if left in the dryer they do tend to wrinkle, but if you catch them as soon as they finish drying wrinkles are minimal. Overall I am happy with these sheets, they could be a bit softer, but are otherwise good for the price, good enough that I am ordering another set.
Thank you Issac
How about the pockets? Are they deep? (Mine sure aren’t LOL and I’m not talking sheets either!) We have a pretty yhick foam mattress and need deep pockets (do we ever LOL AGAIN)
I’m going to take issue with the copy writing on this one: If they were liquid metal, they might in fact be very comfortable. A mercury waterbed would be quite cozy. Toxic as heck, but you would probably be able to get a decent nap in.
I have been looking for 100% cotton sheets but I need the “Split King” size. I could possibly buy the twin XL but they are not offered for some reason. But I am also looking for sheets that are NOT deep pockets (they do not fit a 9" mattress well).
Thanks! Bedding is so complicated. My understanding had been that there were 2 kinds of weave, percale or sateen. I’d never heard of damask. I find sateen to be softer and warmer than percale – how is damask compared with these two?
I am also waiting for a reply to this question, but for the opposite reason!
I HATE Sateen - I find the “drape” to be akin to a limp tissue, and they “sleep hot.” Percale has a crisp hand, and is cooler to sleep in.
My search for percale ends when I see the price. They are usually a high end sheet. Perhaps that has something to do with the weave - as you say, bedding is complicated.
But I’ve never heard that Damask was either, and I have purchased damask stripe sheets that were crisp and cool, and damask stripe sheet that were limp and hot. So what is the difference?
Damask Sheets. Damask sheets feature patterns that are made by contrasting fabric textures. For example, many popular damask sheets are striped, but instead of using alternating colors, the stripes are made by alternating a sateen weave with a matte weave. Most damask sheets feature simple patterns like stripes, checkers and polka-dots.
The mod did a great job of detailing Damask above. Basically it is the weave of the fabric that gives some pattern to a solid sheet. In this instance, the pattern is a stripe.
It is tough to say what the difference in your past damask purchases was without knowing the sheets…
Regarding the feel, it could be so many things… from the quality of the cotton, or they could have been blended sheets with some polyester added.
These sheets are made using high quality Pima Cotton. I find them to have a nice drape with a great feel.
