Damaged large monitor -- what now?

Am sure this is common but it’s so frustrating. I ordered a 65" Sony monitor for my son as an Xmas present. Shipping was continually delayed, postponed, rearranged etc. until today. Upon delivery, what do you know – the screen is shattered. I’ve let Woot know. Obviously, this thing has to be removed/returned, but it weighs a ton and my son lives alone. How does Woot typically handle this?

Hi there. If you haven’t already, please reach out to Woot! Customer Service. To speed things up, let them know if you prefer a return/refund or a replacement (if possible).

Please allow 24-48h for them to respond.

Browser: Use the Woot! Customer Service form.

Woot! App: Choose Account from the bottom navigation and then Support.

Self-Return: Items without Li-Ion batteries can be self-returned within 30 days. Go to your Order Details to get started. The return label will be emailed from UPS.

Note: Woot! Customer Service replies go to the email address on your Woot! account, not your Amazon login email if used/different.

Thanks but yes, I have contacted Woot support as soon as the damage was noticed (basically the minute it was unpacked) and delivery company (not UPS) told my son they could not take it back without Woot authorization. Yes, he should have refused delivery but he could not be certain from the outer box that the monitor was damaged. Woot replied within 24 hrs of my contacting asking for pictures. I sent those and have basically been waiting for a reply since (now more than 24 hours ago). Yes, it’s the weekend, they only promise to reply within 48 hrs etc but it’s a frustrating experience. A self-return/mailing label will only work if there’s pick up, which I am hoping has to be the case (am assuming this is too large for regular UPS) I am following advice here not to keep mailing Woot as it tends to slow everything down so am waiting for them to tell me next steps now that they have photos of the damaged screen, but I appreciate you sharing a contact form I can use if I don’t hear anything in that timeframe.

Ok, good news, bad news from Woot. Yes, they agree it’s damaged and since they are unable to replace (which is alright by me given the delivery hassles) they are issuing a refund. That’s the good news. The bad news is they told me to just keep the damaged or donate the 65" monitor…not quite what was I was hoping to hear since it’s pretty immovable by one person and won’t fit in my son’s car. I hate the thought of this just adding to landfill but can’t imagine who would want this as a donation. If anyone here has suggestions, let me know.
