Hello Everyone!

Any chance of kosher certification? Those of us who require it are sad to be missing out.

Regarding the Costco caramels in a tub for $10…
If it is a gift you are seeking…these might not make the best impression! From being tossed in a tub the caramels are likely going to be scratched and the salt will probably be resting at the bottom of your tub rather than nicely sprinkled on top of the caramels.

This 2lb box offered at this price exclusively for Woot! comes nicely layered and cupped perfect for a gift or for individual consumption…whatever you prefer

Not to mention I happen to know first hand that these are the best caramels you will ever have!

quark613,

Sorry but unfortunately we are not Kosher certified.

So is the caramel in these a soft, creamy like caramel or the harder, more chewy type (I’m a big fan of the latter)?

Not intended for canine consumption.

Synos10-
Definately not a hard caramel nor is it “runny” it falls right in between, the perfect balance!

mrfishwhiskers-

Definatley not recommended for canine consumption, unless ofcourse you’re Wilfred?

AWESOME!

I just received my email notification for my Caramels that have been shipped already!

I know a few people that are going to have a very sweet & salty Christmas!

Thanks!

Are these chocolate salty balls?

Oh, yay, these are back! It’s been too long since my first box emptied out. Why, oh why, did I only buy one???

Okay… I have not been around the WOOT world for long… So could someone tell me what all the rave about “Balsamic” is? I’m very intrigued since so many people have mentioned it.

And after contemplating all day (and getting a dark chocolate covered caramel from a local chocolate store and realizing that this is a good deal…) I think I’m going to go for this one…

You know, I’m a big fan of chewy caramels, too, and I bought these last time wondering if I’d like them. I have to say, they are creamy, but delicious. My experience with harder caramels is that they tend to be enrobed in a lesser quality chocolate, and I could really tell this was better chocolate than most boxed, retail chocolates (RS, for example) and even better than what my local chocolatier of choice uses.

That said, if you want them a bit firmer, put a few in the fridge for 10 minutes. That’s what I did. (Don’t store them there.)

Now, if they would only offer dark chocolate vanilla butter creams! I checked out their web site but the shipping cost was prohibitive, especially when I can get good ones locally.

I’ve placed an order for these. The local ones I’ve tried are firmer, but the taste and quality of the chocolate and salt don’t match up compared to these.

I also got these and they were super good. Anyone wondering - go for it. I cannot think of a single criticism. Caramel is perfect consistency, right amount of chocolate, salt makes it better, and one (or two) will satisfy.

Are the ones at Costco in the PDX area made by your company?

These are AMAZING. The wifey accidentally bought some at Whole Foods (there were like $20 for 6oz size, yikes) and I destroyed them.

I’ve requested 4 lbs for xmas…can’t wait!!

This is the stuff folks have been waiting for

Always order three to make it to the next time it appears.

AND KEEP YOUR CREDIT CARD OUT! order one bottle to start, then live with regret for not buying 3. AMAZING quality, i have 1/2 of the bottle left from june and it’s incredible over some Häagen-Dazs Vanilla ice cream. Don’t knock it till you try it…

I know many of you are in the same boat I am - going other places as Christmas approaches. I sent in an email to woot to ask about shipping times, this is the response I got:

“Wine.Woot orders typically take 2-3 weeks for delivery, but it often comes sooner. We’re not quite sure when it would arrive, but we’ll send you a tracking number when it ships out.”

In other words, kind of a crapshoot. I’ll be leaving the 22nd, so fingers crossed they get here by then!

Wow, what timing. I was so sad I only ordered one box last time, and I couldn’t find anything comparable locally. Yet so great was my desire for salty-sweet caramel after these made a convert out of me, that I just yesterday decided to try and make my own. It… didn’t turn out so well. To put it mildly.

So thanks, wine.woot and the Candy Basket, for saving me from my mediocre, burnt caramel by delivering unto us these delicious treats!

I still have some of the great balsamic left, but I’ll be hard-pressed to make these last, especially with chocoholic friends and holiday get-togethers coming up.

OK, you people have talked me into it. It’s not often that a non-wine item gets such glowing praise around here, and when it does (Brandini, the caramels, and of course the balsamic) it’s for mighty good reason. In for 2!
