The pics don’t make sense as the lid has a traditional waffle pattern on top
yet the waffle displayed is a pumpkin. Just not possible.
Also, wish they were pairing 2 dif patterns. One that has a full size waffle, then a patterned one.
These are small to begin with and the pattern just makes it look like 1/3rd smaller still.
I had the same thought… laughing about the waffle iron squares on the same side as the pumpkin shaped waffle! The Amazon listing shows the skull shaped iron on one side, the standard waffle squares on the other, so I bet it’s the same for the pumpkin. Personally, I’m not into interested in eating waffles shaped (sorta) like human skulls, but I understand this deal price is because they’re trying to clear out Halloween novelties (which explains why it’s two novelty makers instead of including a “normal” waffle pattern). So, I’m ok with two pumpkin shaped waffle makers for the price.
Speaking of price, a cursory Amazon search shows a Waffle + Griddle combo 2-pack costs about $25, a 2-pack of “standard” waffles costs anywhere between $15.80 (red) and $19.08 (black), while the mothership is also selling the pumpkin 2-pack… for $12.60. Make what you want of that info.
Did buy the 3 pack of these last holiday season and gifted one as well.
Don’t use it as much as I thought, altho some have posted recently to use it for muffins/eggs/french toast/bacon/hash browns/reheat mac & cheese, etc.
So I may give it a new job or two.
Like the waffle one the best as it has 2 cooking elements and is faster.
QVC loves these and has posted recipes.
Happy Hunting!
Oh,
And can make a single cookie.
Bigger if you use the full waffle size
Smaller if you stay inside the image boundries.
Hmm, reheating Mac & Cheese on a griddle… not too sure about the result of that. But in general, kudos for finding more uses for this!
And what’s the point of the griddle version when not having a heating element on one side?!? If that’s the case, how is the top supposed to get cooked evenly with the bottom/what’s the point of the lid/how would you flip a pancake without making a mess?
The 3 packs come as a grill/griddle/waffle set.
If you are making bacon (any meat) on the grill
and eggs (or hash browns) on the griddle they expect you to flip it.
Only heats via the bottom.
