FYI, we have been getting these from our distributor but they have been coming with the wrong power adapter. They need a 90 watt brick, or else the system will throttle at sub 1ghz on the CPU.
I just ordered this! Can you tell me what a 90 watt brick is… And can you also give me a link on Amazon so I don’t screw this up? Thank you.
Will Woot be holding these until the correct power supply is sent from the distributor or are we on our own for buying the correct adapter?
Kind of makes me wonder about the thoroughness of their refurbishment process if they don’t even have the correct power supply to make the machine run at spec.
As @DDock3287 tells us, it’s the power adapter. Put “Dell Optiplex 5060 power adapter” into your Amazon search box to get many choices but not limited to T-Power AC Adapter for 19VDC.90W DELL XPS 13 18 Inspiron 13 14 15 17 Optiplex Vostro Series All-in-One Desktop Computer Tablet PC ONLY Power Supply Ac Dc Adapter Charger https://a.co/d/0Ujqrck
YMMV.
He is not a rep for woot or our vendor. They’re talking about their own experience from another supplier.
I just set up my Optiplex 5060, and it does not include Wi-Fi or Bluetooth despite the item description saying “Wireless: Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) + Bluetooth 5.0.” Windows does not detect any wireless devices. I went to the BIOS, and the System Information says “(none)” for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices.
I’m very sorry. Please reach out to Woot! Customer Service. To speed things up, let them know if you prefer a return/refund or a replacement (if possible).
