Dyson 23831-05 DC33 Blue - Refurbished

Why so blue myson?

Tons of Reviews, details, features and general info on the Product Page

Great deal on this. Consumer reports did a comparison between this, the DC25 ball and that Eureka that is claiming to be better than Dyson at a fraction of the price. This one easily came out on top and the Eureka was clearly at the bottom.

What is the warranty on this refurbed Dyson?

6 months

So 6 months vs. 5 years… that worries me a little bit especially since its been refurbed. Makes you wonder if they are expecting more issues. Anyone had issues with the refurbs?

I bought the yellow version of this a year & a half ago & have had no issues whatsoever.
It does a wonderful job on carpets & bare wood floor. I generally vacuum twice a week with it.

One interesting thing. When I registered it on the Dyson website I was notified that it was warrantied for a full 5 years. Your mileage may vary

The one I bothered to register served up the full “new” warranty period. From viewing other sale comments I’m not the only one.

No trouble from it or the others I’ve given to nieces as gifts. I believe you will be pleased.

I bought a refurbished Dyson off Amazon about 8 years ago and it is still going strong.

They ever going to have a DC44 or DC35? I have a small house with hard to find power outlets, so I would prefer the battery powered stick model.

I bought 2 other refurbs on here one w the ball…still going 5 years later & we use them daily in both houses. I’m getting this one too!

I’ve had a DC-07 for 10+ years.
It’s been through a lot, including my roommate vacuuming water out of his leaky car (claimed he didn’t notice the water).
It’s been starting to shed bits of plastic from less than gentle handling (my fault).
Just a few minutes ago, a big piece broke off the wand - nothing that affects it’s overall function, though.

Anyway, I’m on hold w/ Dyson, asking about refurbishment - they don’t really offer that, but you can send in your vac and they’ll tell you how much to repair, or offer a 20% trade in.

They’re having a 20% off sale starting tomorrow, and right now the CS rep is finding out if the trade in and the sale can be combined.
But, even so, a new DC33 at 20% + 20% off is going to be much more expensive than this, so I think I’ll buy this as a replacement.

He just told me that the offers can’t be combined.

I’m going to pull the trigger on this deal before I have a chance to think about it anymore… Don’t want it to sell out.

Sorry for the long post.

Anyone want to buy a well-worn but still functional DC-07? : )

In for 1.

Anyone know what parts if any are interchangeable between the DC07 and the DC33?

Wondering if the filters and/or any other parts will be useable.

Also wondering if the tools will be interchangeable.

I bought the allergy tool kit a while back and it came with an adapter so that the tools would fit the DC07.
So I’m thinking, unless there’s another adapter available to go from old-new instead of vice-versa, I may be out of luck.

Why is it yellow and not blue on Dyson’s website?

I just bought one! I hope I am happy with it. Always wanted a dyson! Crossing my fingers

I was so excited to find this, so I bought one…

Then the wife yelled at me for buying refurbished…“What, do you want bedbugs or something.”

Now I’m :frowning:

I know it’s a little late but I just wanted to state that when I registered my refurbished dyson dc33 it told me I had a 5 year warranty as well. About two weeks ago the hose split, so I called them up and they told me that refurbs only have 6 month warranty no matter what is said after registering it.

I have purchased refurbished items before and from my experience refurbished is like new. I bought a refurbished juicer and it was brand new. Hope that helps

In for one. My first Dyson after years of yearning. My first non-garage sale vacuum too.
