We have a slightly earlier model,(we bought ours at Costco 3.5 years ago). It is decidedly our go to Vacuum. We have a heavier vacuum for our carpets. But for our wood floors, staircases, cars, furniture, windows, cob-webs, etc. it this little guy. It’s very useful and easy to handle. We set up a electrical outlet in our mudroom closet and it’s all hanging there charging and ready to go.
A Couple Notes: I noticed the past few months that the battery doesn’t run as long as it use to (down about 25% after 3 years). Also, when you can, hold on to the blue tube to minimize the wear and tear on the plastic connection points. You can use it with one hand. But when you can if you use it with two hands with it’s long tube you will be taking better care of it, (less structural stress), and it will last you as long as it has lasted us.
I know I’ve gone raved about this before, but I bought one of these a little over a year ago for a hardwood-floored apartment with multiple cats and it is THE BEST. I thought I’d be using it as a supplement to the broom and dustpan, to chase down particularly wily dust bunnies, but it’s ended up replacing my broom completely. Lightweight, convenient, great for getting under beds or couches, easy to use, easy to take apart and clean out (which I only have to do maybe once every three months). And the smaller motorized head gets cat hair off the bedcovers like nothing else I’ve ever used!
One of the best dollar-to-utility values I’ve ever got from Woot.
Mine just arrived, and no matter what, the “brushbar” in the “carbon fiber” and “mini motorized” tools will not spin.
I’ve attached them properly, fully charged the main unit, tried with and without the extending rod, and tried unlocking and refitting the bar as recommended on the Dyson website.
Any ideas?

Contacted Dyson through their online chat support, and I think they’re going to send a replacement part of some sort. The order email and what they said in the chat are different, so I’m waiting to see what actually ships.
