I had to replace mine because the battery was bad. The replacement seems ok, but DO NOT LEAVE IT IN MAX SUCTION MODE. It will only last 5 minutes or so in this mode.
On the normal suction, even with the end spinning, the battery lasts reasonably long.
I purchased a refurb nearly three years ago. It turned out to be our favorite among the three different brand vacs we own. We purchased a wall hanger from Amazon that accommodates all the accesories that makes it easily accessible. No complaints at all. Fairly light weight, easy to swap accessories and very good baytery life. Definitely recommend.
I also got mine for $40 more in January, it didnāt work out of the box but Dyson sent a replacement part pretty quickly and Iām happy with the vacuum so far.
I bought this back in January, too. It works great! I havenāt had to deal with any long hair tangles in the brushes, which has been a lifelong vacuum struggle. My 4yo even thinks itās fun to use. Letās hope he doesnāt grow out of that.
My GF bought this on woot almost 2 years ago, when she finds out she gonna want that woot credit everyoneās talking about!
But seriously I bought a v8 on here 4-5 years ago & the battery stopped working within 3 months but Dyson sent me a new one very quickly and I was very happy with the support.
According to this forum search results the Dyson V10 had a couple clearance sales 7 to 14 days ago and the previous 24hr sale which had a lot more sold appears to be 19 days ago which is past the 15 day price match period.
i bought a refurbished one years ago and the on/off switch is impossible to work. i finally got it on and just unplug it when i am thru with it. a pita but⦠could be worse.
I bought one of these new from Costco a few years ago and the battery does the same thing on max mode.
Also you can get a 2 year square trade coverage on this for $22, worth it imo.
Some of the pros: It is easy to operate, lightweight, CORDLESS, easy to empty the canister, agile with turns, really sucks, fits under things. Itās just easy. It really makes vacuuming less effort compared to a heavy corded vacuum.
Some of the drawbacks: canister is small and with one sheddy dog I have to empty it multiple times when I vacuum; weight distribution/location of handle can be a tiny bit awkward when using it overhead; I frequently accidentally turn it on when I pick it up due to the location of the power switch (I guess I have big hands).
If I had any reason to get another one of these I would, itās a good price. Itās selling new for $400 (after $100 off) at Costco now.
We have a V7 version and 2 of the V8 version. All have had battery issues after the refurb warranty. More frustrating is that Dyson was out of stock for replacement batteries for over a year, and theyāre $100+. Kind of makes this deal look a lot better than just the battery. Itās a shame they didnāt make the battery easily removable so you could have a spare for longer runtime. And the knockoff batteries on Amazon were dismal with short runtimes and lives.
