Just bought this at Costco for $559.99 with manufacturer auto rebate. I suppose I am happy because of Costco’s return policy might go beyond the 2 yr dyson warranty? What do you guys think?

The Costco version comes with 10 attachments, including the newer upgraded fluffy head (big difference). It’s a better deal since that head is $130 and practically impossible to buy on its own right now.

maybe woot should drop the price  but again not everyone has a costco membership

Have you tried the vac out yet

yes its pretty much sucks but in the best way ever, many reviews online and those are positive are 100 percent correct

If people question the price, I would be hard to say that a $5 broom and dust mat may be a viable option

Got one of these when they first came out. They are amazing and I would highly recommend it. Be prepared to be horrified when that laser shines on your (soon to be cleaned) floors though!

I dunno… One could buy two or three Sharks for that kind of money.

Only a 60-minute runtime? How long does it take to recharge?

We just put one together for Mom. We spent some time trying to figure out where the attachments should be stored. There are two places to store them on the wall mount’s bottom, and another clear piece that holds the smallest two attachments which clicks onto the wand. Unfortunately, no two of the attachments seem to fit on the wall mount at the same time, except for the two that apparently belong on the wand mounted attachment holder. The instructions are pictures for the most part, and incomplete. Nowhere in the instructions did we see the clear attachment holder. Hey, if you are the “instructions, who needs instructions” sort of person, then bully for you, this may be your vac! We looked at youtube videos for assembly instructions, and called Dyson who rather than tell us what the clear attachment holder was for and where it went sent us three videos. Note, my brother in-law and I were going slow assembling Mom’s new expensive vacuum. It wasn’t that we couldn’t force the attachment hoider on, we just wanted to make sure that we didn’t kill it out of the box. Odd sort of customer support if you ask me. I wonder if the third world phone answerer has even seen the unit? It is handsome, takes up little wall space, and must not be difficult to operate since Mom hasn’t called asking for operating assistance. From what I am reading here it seems that they have one set of incomplete instructions which they send with every unit, and evidently several different unit/attachment packages. Better instructions and trained customer service would have made the purchase a happier experience. I hope that someone gets some value out of us struggling to figure out the clear attachment holder.

Looks like the Woot one also supplies the fluffy head.

I have one of these, it’s awesome. My only complaint is that the laser highlights how disgusting my floors are at all times, so if I pull it out to do a quick touchup somewhere I end up just going until the battery dies anyway.

Far more effective than my much larger, heavier, corded Shark AZ1000, which just got donated to the local animal shelter.

Switching brush heads when going from hard floor to carpet is a mild nuisance far outweighed by the effectiveness of each and convenience that comes from being cordless. The carpet head is quite a bit louder than the fluffy head, but still not as loud as the old vacuum.

You have to hold the trigger to keep it running. I don’t mind this, but there are times, e.g. if I’m using a fine dusting attachment with a flexible hose, where it would be nice to have a trigger lock. They’re available super cheap on the mothership, but I haven’t picked one up yet.

Correct, that is the older v1 fluffy head with a much dimmer/weaker laser.

I’m just sad this version doesn’t connect to the submarine wet vacuum head. I’d buy it in a heartbeat if so.

My guess is the 60min run time isn’t on max either. I have a V8, love it but on max i get about 30min then have to recharge it, so it’s primarily used on non carpeted surfaces

Dyson V15 Detect??? detect the dust ???

After you use the vac and you go back to the same area, does it then show it as clean?

Tbh, I can’t ever get my floors clean no matter how many times I go over them with my Bissell and I wouldn’t mind investing in something that would finish the job.

Secondly, does it pick up dirt stuck to the floor that you can’t necessarily see, but with a wet rag you would wipe up?

I’m not high enough for that ad copy.
