We have a couple 1st Gen Echo Show 10’s - in spite of Amazon’s odd desire to label this a “2nd Gen” Show 10, this device was actually the first 10” Echo Show. (The first Echo Show was the 7” display old style form factor.)
Note the current model (true 2nd Gen, falsely labeled “3rd Gen” by Amazon) Echo Show 10 is the far more expensive motorized device that follows you around the room. I don’t recall seeing Amazon selling it for less than $150 but more typically for about $200.
We really like these Show 10’s even if their sound, while clean, is a bit boomy on the bass end. We can view our Wyze “security” cams on them - although, very likely due to Wyze’s end, the speed to dsiplay and reliability can be a bit wonky.
As to buying these used - don’t let them sit in the box after you receive them. Amazon’s condition grading and evaluation for trade-ins is really shaky at best. Examine it for damage. Set the device up, leave it running, and carefully examine the display for defects. We’ve had issues with Amazon trade-ins (“Very Good” rated in our case) bought through Woot (no fault of Woot) and Woot Customer Service has been very responsive in addressing the issues.
