Fave type of lettuce for a sandwich?
Spinach… it isn’t the same family as lettuce, but I would skip or replace lettuce every chance I get.
What do you mean “favorite”? Iceberg is the ONLY lettuce there is
Romaine. Crunch crunch.
Same here. I switched to spinach and I’m not going back.
Agreed! Spinach works great on sandwiches.
Iceberg love the crunch!
Iceberg is okay if it is the outer green leaves, otherwise iceberg lettuce is mostly water. Green lettuce/romaine in general (regardless of type as long as it is a little crunchy). Cold raw spinach is okay too.
Baby spinach
Lettuce just gets in the way on a sandwich.
Save it for my salad, and then I’ll have Romaine.
Mechanically separated
Iceberg lettuce, the most common of them all.
This one is called “Coral lettuce”
This crispy lettuce traps sauces and is great on a sandwich
I had to look it up in this interesting guide.
One exception - spinach doesn’t work on a BLT - need the iceberg for a BLT
