[Garrity KE700 LED Rechargeable Flashlight - Nichia 2X Brighter LED Lamp, LED Night Light, A/C Recharger Built-In, White - Amazon.com

as perfect as these may be, i don’t plan on going camping anytime soon… but now that i think about it, this would’ve been great for when my entire block that once, well twice… okay nine times this year.

Everything about this flashlight is junk. Nichia LED’s put out less than 20 lumens and a modern led flashlight can get 15 hours out of a nichia on way less than 4 NIMH batteries. You’re better off getting a fenix E01 for the exact same price.

In for three… I am scared of the dark.

These work great for the first year or so, then the batteries start to lose the ability to retain a charge.

Cheap enough… practical… I could use one and give one as a cheapy gift.

In for 2.

I have one mounted in a lightly used hallway. Since our power goes out every time we have a storm, it’s come in handy several times - and it’s easy to find. I think I paid about $30.00 for it on Amazon too.

I have an older, but similar Garrity product, and have no complaints, it works well.

Comes in handy if you have a lot of power outages, and unlike some other rechargable lights, batteries are standard and easily replaced.

I have had these in the past. Nothing but trouble. Rechargeable battery dies quickly. Also they take up an entire wall socket to charge and block both outlets. Therefore you have to hide it somewhere on some plug you never use for anything else. When the power goes out you are crawling around in the dark trying to find the stupid thing.

This would be useful if I didn’t already have a pleathora of flashlights, though none are rechargeable, I’ll grant. The fact it’s so big and I wouldn’t have a place for it is the first problem, and the fact it’s more of a hand-held flaslight than an convenient Mini-Maglite-ish size (or maybe the dual C-cell one) is also unimpressive. Could get one of these at WalMart and pick the color, and it’d be new.

…however, anyone that needs a big, bright, white, rechargeable flashlight, at this price, buy 3!

I cant find the Lumens (brightness) on the interwebs.

Anyone know?

I have the same flashlight…

After a week, I left it on for about 2 hours and it melted the casing of the light =(

No, it’s not the same one.
A cheaper model, with no nightlight
and shorter battery run time…
oh, and out of stock anyway.

That’s not the same flashlight. That one isn’t even an LED.

I can’t see the size of this anywhere? It might be 3 inches high for all I know, and how bright is this light??

I wonder how easily you can replace the rechargeable batteries in this unit? The batteries will wear out far sooner than the LEDs.

Hmmm… I think I see a screw in the secondary picture.
