I have a question…
I hate this.
The two options came about after years of shirt.wooters complaining about the blanks that they did switch to. Some Wooters were quite vocal about it – I only had comments on 59 pages on that 64 page thread, y’know. A fellow Wooter and prolific shirt.woot artist was more subtle, however, like starting up their own shirt site in response. Purely coincidental that it was the very next day, of course.
In 2015, the option for purchasing shirts on AA blanks came back. After their subsequent bankruptcy, the premium option went to Bella+Canvas blanks. With the later change away from Anvil to Port and Company, the purchase options were renamed from standard/premium to classic/fitted.
Now don’t get me wrong – the Port and Company blanks aren’t bad. They don’t pinch my armpits like how the (mutant) Anvil blanks did and they don’t shrink up 2 inches after a trip through the wash. It is a heavier fabric, though, which means it’s not as soft as the lighter weight Bella+Canvas and it’s a “boxier” cut. Whereas the Bella+Canvas tend to be spot on for width and longer in length, the Port and Company tend to be wider in width and spot on in length.
The Bellas+Canvas shirts are the best shirts ever, but that’s just my opinion ![]()
Could this be the new American Fitted look at Woot?
It is my favorite short commercial. Really choreographed well.
I think I might have one of those shirts from a DDC box ![]()
I’m another person who only ever purchased from the fitted line. They were softer, and just felt like a higher quality material.
Sad sad day for this Wooter ![]()
I made the mistake of once ordering shirts that were regular and when they arrived, I was like, “why are these so stiff and short and boxy?” and then I figured it out. I guess this is a sign I need to stop buying shirts lol.
Of the current (well previous current) I preferred classic but I like giving people choices, so I’m sad fitted is going away. We are all shaped differently and it’s nice to be able to have fun shirts to wear that mostly suit us while supporting the artists.
amazon overlords!

I think I also have one of those tshirts given to me in an a DDC Mongering prize box.

So, now we can only get T-Shirts that don’t fit?
That’s… fitting.
I have never liked fitted shirts at all. What pissed me off was when the ring spun cotton disappeared. So soft ..
I really need to stop buying shirts.
All of shirt.woot’s offerings have been ring spun, inclusive of the current “classic” Port and Company blanks. They are a heavier fabric weight at 4.5oz/yd², however, which does make them feel less soft. Bella+Canvas is 4.2oz, the prior Anvil is 4.5oz, the original AA is 4.3oz.
That’s a shame. I hope this gets better for you.
