These speakers are trash. I had an earlier version of the Onyx and it’s hilarious they claim it’s worth $450. I paid 170 and i wouldnt have been happy spending more than 40 for the awful sound quality, and the fact that it mutes itself if the volume is below 10% for more than TWO SECONDS
TLDR: don’t buy this junk.
I have the 5(just the non waterproof version of this basically)and it’s super nice and doesn’t do the muting thing either. I mean it’s nice enough that I felt I had to make this comment and everyone is always super impressed by it so I’m surprised you had such issues with yours, I know they don’t come with much in way of instruction but I found online there are different modes and you have to hold down whatever and whatever to change them so I’m wondering if it is something like that? It’s heavy is I guess my biggest complaint but with the built in handle it’s no biggie for the sound payoff.
Agreed that the 500 whatever price is a joke, I got mine as a deal of the day at Best Buy a while ago for 90 bucks.
I thought it was a Romba?
That comment wins the day.
Although who would ever expected Roomba on woot?
Now that’s an idea… adding a speaker to the Roomba!!!
Genius - a speaker that follows you around the house so you have music wherever you go, and cleans your floors, too!
I bought my Roomba on woot. I also skimmed past Harmon Kardon a little too fast and mixed up the first letters, so that was interesting for me.
So DJ Roomba, then?
