I have this exact thing - like, identical, the same brand and everything. Grabbed it on a whim from Amazon a year or so ago.
This is one of those things that you’ve seen for ages and ignored but may have had a slight inkling in the back of your head that maybe - just maybe - it’s actually amazing.
It’s not. I don’t know if it’s the concept itself or if this just isn’t a quality piece, but expect to get a handful of mediocre uses out of it. It’s simply hexagonal inserts that push in - it’s far from “universal” and you should only expect a tight fit for things that pretty precisely fit into the different intervals.
Additionally, you probably don’t want to use this on anything requiring any actual effort to turn. Either way, expect pins to get stuck in or out, bent, and just messed up in general. It’s fine as a cheap stocking stuffer or something for a dad that likes to have some random tools in his junk drawer, but if you actually use tools this will be of very little use to you.
I came here to say the same thing! I have one of these as well, and I would never buy another one. I am so disappointed, as this would have eliminated the need to carry multiple sockets.
