After receiving the item, my fears were correct. It is a HEPA-type filter, which filters 2 microns and larger, not 0.3 and larger. I called Honeywell and confirmed this. It is not HEPA, and cannot take a HEPA filter.
I’ve contacted CS for a return. We’ll see how that goes.
