how to proceed? Woot wont pay refund, and wont honor cancellation

I bought an open box microphone stand back before xmas. It didn’t work right, and after a bunch of research, I learned that this product had had manufacturing defects. I went through all the BS with the manufacturer, who refused to honor warranty on it… so I did a return with woot, and shipped it back. tracking shows that it was received by their dock. This has been over a month ago, and the funds haven’t been returned. I contacted support through the webform, and got a form letter back telling me to file for a refund and print a shipping label, when I clearly already have done.

I had another order where I realized immediately after the purchase that I’d selected the wrong item, canceled it, and then made a new order. It took like 2 weeks for the order to ship, and now I see that they are shipping both the canceled order and the correct order. So I’m going to have to go though this refund business again.

Are there actual humans I can talk to?

Good morning. I’ll check with CS on the returned item.

As to the cancelled item, it was cancelled and the transaction was reversed immediately before the funds were removed from your account. If you see a charge on there, it’s the authorization hold to verify funds. It drops off automatically when the actual charge doesn’t go through. How long that takes is up to your bank. The order hasn’t shipped because it was cancelled.

Thanks for looking into it! It looks like the refund on the returned item went through after your check in.

Good to know about the other transaction… I used Amazon Pay, so I guess I assumed it would be fast. It’s still showing on my payment activity from 1/10. I guess I’ll keep an eye on it.
