HP Athlon 64 Desktop with DVD Burner

It does list the OS you nimrods:

“Windows XP Home”

Um, how you gonna use an AGP video card on that motherboard when (I think) it only has PCIe?

Does it include a wireless keyboard and wireless mouse as shown in the picture?

Good price for new… not so great for rebirb…

Huh, nice price and considering it is delivered for a fin, not too bad at all. However, I am not interested in a 754 Athlon any more.

I’m trying to think of which app I have that runs 64bit… on a 32bit os.

Whiners galore… again. It’s not a bad deal. Maybe you can get an illegal copy of Windows for 20 bucks on eBay (er… eScrew), but when you add it all up… .there’s no labor involved, legal OS is included, 90 day warranty and enough to make this worth buying and reselling on a personal level. It’s a decent enough deal. Woot, you beautiful bastards. Woot.

This is a OK deal if you need a computer. but definately not the best deal.

Just a month ago i got a Emachines K8M800 motherboard A64 3000+ with 512mb pc3200 ram 80gig hard drive DVD-RW 16x and all that, with 15" LCD for $300.00 after rebate.

but this is noe rebates, and a little better machine, but no $100.00 LCD.

Not a bad deal, but the refurb 90 day warranty kinda sucks.

You can pick up a 15" lcd for $99. And this is an HP… Not an eMachine where their motto seems to be… 75% RMA is OK. I don’t think I would give an enemy an eMachine…

wow. how many times are people going to ask about the OS? read!

i highly recommend this pc. not because it has a great case or great specs, but it’s a good way to get parts. i got the same motherboard and processor for about $150, and the HD is worth another $100 at least. dismantle this one and give yourself and upgrade. and then sell the rest on ebay.

great woot today, thanks!!!

any way to see if my software, printer and other stuff is compatible?

ecampbell02@charter.net if you can answer me. Thanks.

Hey this is a great woot!!! In fact I bought 3!! yes, you heard me 3!! Now, lets think about the parts alone in this system, go out and price the processor by itself, and if someone got a deal from dell like this, I will guarantee, it does not have a separate video card. And as for the operating system, you know guys, you really need to read the entire description, sort of like following directions, you have to read in entirety.

Just got my external d/l dvdburners in, thanks you guys, excellent job, and where else can you get all this for only a measley $5 shipping, yeah, what a bunch of whiners LOL

how long will this take to ship? I am in Texas

Valid Point. The AGP I have is going to my parents computer, and for the moment I’m stuck with a crappy VisionTek video card I got here until I can get another $200 for a nice PCI-e card.

what software coms with this athlon

I just wanted to add my two cents tonight-

I will never buy another machine to use Windows on, I have switched to the Apple way of life for good. Goodbye Crashes, bugs, spyware, viruses. So long

kind of funny to read all these coments about components and waranty and stuff.
Do peoples out there forget that there are the technically challenged amongst us who need something pre assembled?
I think it was a good deal for an HP, wouldn’t buy any other brand refurbished. Besides, last time I checked, most warranties for new product don’t last much longer than 3 months, either. I bought a similar one for over $800 after rebates. I would have bought this one as a present, but I missed it (hate when real life interfers with woot).
I hope there won’t be a laptop on in the next 6 days, 'cause I have to leave town now, and will be woot accessless (that’s the whiney part).
Oh one more thing to the floppy…people do use them (still), but that’s easy to add with an external plug and play…my brand new cpu didn’t come with floppy either.
See y’all around some time next week…leave some woot for me til then

we want macs! M A C S

Macintosh: It’s not a computer, it’s a religious experience.

Give the guy a break, he has to digest and analyze all the posts to come up with the list. It’s a lot of work… And the service is Free…
