Wow… Great configuration.
I’m pretty sure the model is actually 15-AX033DX. The woot listing is missing a “3”.
Thanks for the catch. Model number has been updated to 15-AX033DX
Is this the same offer: http://computers.woot.com/forums/viewpost.aspx?postid=6960696&ref=cnt_odet_tc_jtd
YouTube video review (clean professional) from Notebook Check. They are reviewing the GTX965m version but the model/specs is the same otherwise. It came in two variations of GTX 960m and 965m. Woot is offering the GTX 960m model refurbished.

Just took the leap and bought this for a work laptop, but I have a question: this laptop says it reads/writes cd’s and dvd’s but i didn’t see where you insert them!
To yvette66, maybe they took that description down but this laptop model does not come with a optical drive nor is there a slot for it in the chassis. Just search Amazon or Newegg for External DVD Drive or External Bluray Drive. You will need something like Cyberlink PowerDVD Ultra software to play Blurays. Newegg is selling PowerDVD Ultra 16 for $33 shipped if you use promo code EMCRECK34 at checkout [expires Sunday night]. I own ver 14 with no issues using an external bluray drive.
This computer does not have an optical drive.
Is the RAM upgradeable? Searched Crucial with the model number and found hard drives, but nothing about RAM. The “on board” qualifier makes me doubtful.
It has two DDR4 ram slots max two 8X2=16 DDR4 ram. It is not soldered on. The description can seem misleading on WOOT atm. For some confirmation on this, notice this review by ByBrennanon November 29, 2016 which upgraded the 1 single 8gb ram module with another 8gb ram module to get to 16gb. The YouTube review confirms this as well.

Nice laptop, but out of the get-go you’re going to want to upgrade the RAM to 16GB, swap the HDD for an SSD, add an external optical drive, plus since HP only gives you 90 days warranty you’ll need to shell out $99 for SquareTrade.
Not so good deal after all, considering gaming laptops don’t last due to overheating issues still prevalent today.
Does anyone know what kind of SSD is in this one? Is the the nvme.2? Thanks
I would like to order one, will this deal be back any time soon?
It’s possible but we don’t schedule very far out so I can’t tell you when.
