What streaming service?
I have Prime (with a bunch of different channel subscriptions), Hbo max, Disney and Hulu - but if this is possible, I would possible get others, as the only one I have had to pay for is Disney at this point.
For Amazon, I think it must be downloaded via the Amazon video app. Since you don’t want to use a phone or a tablet, you may have to use a Windows PC hooked up to you TV.
If you want a physical device, check out Roku and Amazon’s Fire Stick. They are devices that attach to a TV and have remotes so they don’t need a phone or tablet to use them. Both of them probably support the various channels you have but check them out to make sure when deciding which one to buy.
I personally have a Roku and I really like it. I also know someone with a Fire Stick and they like theirs.
There are options with the various services to do this.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I have fire tvs and fire sticks, plus a pc I could use
Woohoo I appreciate folks, I really do
I’m pretty sure he wants to download for offline viewing.
The article title is misleading.
You still have to download it from the internet at some point. One of the places I watch stuff has a very bad internet connection, a 45 minute tv episode might take 3hrs to download.
So, I use my fireHd10 (bought here) on my 300+MB home internet (it’s gigabit but the tablet doesn’t get that speed) and download at home to watch at my remote location.
I currently have 96 GB of videos downloaded directly from Amazon (on the SD card)
A raspberry pi running Kodi. I have a min pc running as a network file sever and two pi’s each running Kodi through which I stream movies and tv shows from my hard drive both to my tv and my projector.
Does that let you download content from Amazon Video for offline viewing?
I don’t think so, because Amazon had DRM restrictions in their videos. But… I’ve never tried it.
The Amazon app allows you to download content from Amazon for offline viewing, it’s built in.
App don’t run on a Raspberry Pi.
Was that specified in original question to which I replied?
It was further up in the reply chain.
