As was brought up in the linked thread with 12 comments, there is nothing “Italian” about these “Italian Hotel” sheets. Made in India, and nice hotels don’t use poly-blend sheets.

Woot seems to do this a lot: Threadcount is meaningless in blended sheets, it’s a measurement for pure cotton sheets. It’s a shame they stoop to very misleading language for these Indian-made “Italian” “High Threadcount” non-cotton sheets…

Woot, why do you put these inferior products up for sale? Polyester sheets are easily found in any discount store at better prices than this.

“cotton rich fabrication”?

I remember the good old days when Woot had deals on everything. Now it seems like a scam half the time. These sheets are not what you’re making them out to be. Come on… why try to deceive your clients???

I mean, this is just what they are called. We put it in the specs pretty clearly where they are made, and don’t hide the forums where y’all provide commentary on the quality, so I am not sure how we are being deceptive in any way. Also it seems this is just what the manufacturer calls them:

It’s like Hawaiian Pizza which is in no way Hawaiian, or the Outback Steakhouse (I am Australian and can honestly say we do NOT have Bloomin’ Onions anywhere). It’s what is on the packet but we also put the specs down clearly so people can make an informed purchase choice. Or we could call it crunchy raw unboned real dead frog.

Is there not SOMEONE who can do something more than just push the words that are on the packet, like “think”…“Hmmmm…Wooters are caught up on this sheet thing after us listing different kinds dozens of times…maybe let’s not put this product up there if it’s not the real deal.”

Do people still go ahead and buy these and don’t complain?
