I know nothing and I am pointing that out at the beginning of this comment. But back in the days of the original Woot! Everything that was not top ten was rejected and people just got over it I could not draw well enough to make it even to the voting stage. My apologies that you were rejected a few times but plenty of other people that have been doing this from the beginning have been rejected I would bet that if anyone who is a woot artist (or artist of any kind) long enough that they have been rejected as well. Please just step back take a deep breath and move on with your life you will get little to no sympathy in the real world (offline) with that attitude.
That is all.
Mite b ez-er 4 alla us 2 move on if we didna ressurect threads that have been idle for 2 weeks.
I like reliving the pain, like a football replay, over and over. Frontwards, backwards, the the slow-mo.
Everytime I do it makes me laugh…
Well they weren’t outright rejected, but only the top 3 printed with select others getting a second chance later in a double-take and/or editor’s choice.
Text as art derby: The artist spent many hours on a different design, which didn’t come anywhere close to placing. The one which was done in a hour? It sold tens of thousands and remains as one of the best selling shirt.woot designs ever.
One seasoned artist got 5 rejections in a single derby. He gave up when it was deemed that the US was fictional.
Isn’t it?
Oops my bad I did not see it was 16days old or I would have just held in my b!+ch sorry
Oh, don’t feel bad.
I think we all learned sonething here today.
Yep, I’m glad it was resurrected because I missed it the first time around. I’m not an artist but I found the discussion interesting.
I’ve never considered myself an artist but this discussion of the manipulation of existing pictures was master class level stuff.
Professor @bsmith1’s illustration was most instructive.
