Kindle Issue

I purchased a “amazon refurbished” kindle in July 2024. The battery is already failing (drains down to 38% in 2 hours and then shuts down until you recharge it) and amazon is now telling me that the warranty is expired. Amazon warranty on a kindle is 1 year. When challenged on this they said the device is old and doesn’t have a warranty and says I need to go back to the retailer and there’s nothing they can do. How do I go back to the retailer when it’s literally owned by amazon?

TL;DR don’t trust that you’ll be taken care of on a product you buy here so take your risks carefully.

If you mean ‘woot’ then read the detail on the woot warranty.

Hello. As noted above, the item you purchased was Amazon Refurbished, not new. It came with a 90d Woot warranty as noted in the sale.
