I’ve had the 5 qt. Artisan for over 15 years; never had an issue of any sort with it. Well made (heavy), powerful motor, great, well-made beater, dough hook, and wire whisk.
I only have a couple of the optional attachments, but they are also well-made. Side note: the ice cream maker is WONDERFUL.
If you hve the room and budget (and muscles to move it around) highly recommended.
Ditto. I believe our Artisan 5 qt is at least 15 years old. Very good investment as it replaced a 30? year old KitchenAid mixer. I wasn’t the original owner, it’s my best guesstimate.
Alas, perhaps to our own detriment, we have convinced ourselves only the “bowl lift” version of the KitchenAid mixer will do. Our plan is to add the Mockmill wheat grinder attachment for bread making, a fairly hard duty attachment.
Thankfully the specs here do include the wattage - KitchenAid seems to enjoy hiding that spec.
Wanted that juniper, but it looks like they were the first to go when I checked earlier
