Klipsch was bought by Audiovox in 2012, who produced cheap low quality audio equipment for years, the Klipsch name was transformed from high-end to bargain sound that could easily fool you in to thinking it’s the same company as in it’s heyday… it’s not.

INFO: In 2009, electronic engineers Ted Moore and Rick Santiago left Klipsch and founded Indy Audio Labs. They purchased the Aragon and Acurus component designs and brands from Klipsch. Both Aragon and Acurus components today are designed and manufactured in Indiana.

Don’t get fooled by the specs-
An amp that weighs less than 5 lbs, puts out 2x50 watts? I think not!

Class D amplifiers are fully capable of such. These aren’t like the days of yore in which high powered amplifiers weigh like bricks and double as a space heater – like the old Technics class A I have.

Don’t let the negative posts get to you on this one. Klipsch still maintains it’s original engineers and makes awesome speakers. They suck at amplifiers though, but the price here for speakers alone is worth every penny. Just be ready to replace the amp with something better at some point.

Got one of these a few months ago on ebay. Sounded really good, especially if you use a subwoofer. The amp overheated and won’t power on any more after only a couple of months of light use. Hopefully just a fluke, will see if they cover it under warranty or gets fixed.
